Heroes take on the forefront of any MMORPG, but Demon Crusade redefines that stereotype. In this exciting browser-based 321 Games MMORPG, the player assumes the mantle of a demon in the Underworld fighting to dominate his or her kind. You’re in for a wild ride once you decide to sign up for a free account and start playing this RPG.
Take your pick from three character classes to begin with: Mage, Ranger and Warrior. Mages specializes in ranged magic attacks, while Rangers are the ones you’d want to pick if you like to attack with ranged weapons like crossbows and bows. Of course, the Warrior class is the expert in melee combat. Aside from the three character class options, you can also select the gender of your character.
Once you’ve created your character, it’s time to start enjoying the world of this MMORPG.
At the start, you will be immersed totally in Quests issued to you by key non-playable characters. These quests are necessary to move the story forward and mainly involves Player versus Environment gameplay or PvE. This is where you’ll learn the basics of controlling your characters in combat, which will be very useful later on when you’ve finished the early parts of the MMORPG and be able to move on to entering the Arena for some Player versus Player (PvP) action.
Battles are turn-based debacles involving a party composed of you and your partners. The order of attacking is fixed, however; whoever is placed at the center of your formation will be attacked first by the opponent, and vice versa. This means that you’ll have to learn to strategize the placement of yourself and your partners.
Like the main characters, partners also have their own classes, namely the Mage, Warlock, Ranger and Warrior. You can have as many as 5 partners in your party, but you can recruit more through the Altar.
Like most browser-based games that have become popular, Demon Crusade makes use of the auto-pathfinding feature. If a Quest is issued to a player, and he or she accepts it, one click on the Quest at the right side of the screen will automatically move the character to where he or she needs to be in order to initiate and, eventually, complete the mission.
Like mentioned earlier, the game’s developers have created what is called the Arena where only players of specific levels and above can access. In here, players can compete with one another for exclusive rewards and, of course, experience points.
The game also offers a VIP membership that gives people access to exclusive content and rewards, but there’s enough in the world in free membership that you probably would not want to enroll in VIP unless you have enough cash for that perk.
Demon Crusade requires membership through your email account, but one can also connect their Facebook account to play the game.
