Life’s quite hard for the cats on the roof. However, armed with the skills to play a successful match of Royal Rummy against the big cats on the streets, you’re very well on your way to becoming one of the big kitties themselves. All it really takes is some guts, and a very good sense of analysis in playing Rummy.
Welcome to Shuffle Cats, a card game that will totally endear itself to the hearts of those who loves playing card games. If you like cats, then that’s an added bonus!
Card game enthusiasts know the simplicity of playing Rummy. However, for the benefit of those that are unfamiliar with this game, the game includes four levels of tutorials to get you ready for the actual games. In other words, the games that pit you against real and actual players, each with their own skillset and strategies for winning their games.
Now, each match will cost you 50 diamonds. However, if you win the level, you’ll get to win back that 50 diamonds or even more because there are rewards for finishing each level.
Now for the rules - as an overview, you need to make it to a certain number of points first, ahead of your opponent. The only way to do that is to make as many Melds as possible on the board, using the cards you have on your hand.
Melds are basically groups of cards. The easiest meld you can meld is of at least 3 identical cards, i.e. 3 of Spades, 3 of Diamonds and 3 of Hearts, so on and so forth. However, you can also make sequential Melds composed of cards having the same suit. So, you can make a meld out of 3 of Spades until the 6 of Spades.
You can also add to existing melds, if you have right cards. So, if there’s a straight meld composed of 3 until 10 of Spades, and you have 2 of Spades or Jack of Spades, you could easily add to that meld and earn additional points.
To initiate your turn, you’ll have to pick a card from the face-down deck, or from the discarded pile. This pile is made up of cards that have been rejected by your opponent, as you are required to get rid of cards you think will not help you in creating melds as a requisite to ending your turn.
You’d have to be very time conscious, however; there’s only a limited amount of time available for you to make melds before the system takes over and discards a card for you, effectively ending your turn.
There’s also a mini game that you can play in exchange for two Gold Bars. In this game, you simply have to guess whether the card on top of the deck belongs to either the Spade or Heart suit.
For a simple, mobile phone game, this one has a lot to offer the casual gamer. You could use this to pass away the time while waiting for your flight for instance.
